The Village Board on June 10 authorized a professional survey to advance a proposed replacement of the sanitary sewer main along County Road A, a project timed to coincide with the county's planned road reconstruction. Mark Digman of Delta 3 Engineering told trustees that a sinkhole on 1st Street and a blocked televising attempt beneath State Highway 35 point to a failed pipe section and create an opportunity to align sewer and road work.
