Council read and approved multiple proclamations and recognitions during the meeting. Finance Director Lou Vitola read Proclamation 2026-18 honoring National Customer Service Week (Oct. 5–9, 2026) and praised customer service supervisor Susanna Frederick and staff, including Vicky (Vicki) Jones, for their year-round work. Council also proclaimed October 4–10, 2026 Public Power Week and recognized the Milford Electric team under the electric director for achievements and a plaque presented in connection with participation in a Navajo Nation electrification effort.
