Comptroller approves FY27; commission authorizes initial $13.5 million bond resolution for capital projects

County budget staff told commissioners the state comptroller's office approved the county's FY2027 budget (with considerations) and reminded the board about a tax-anticipation note executed earlier this summer for schools. Phoebe Riley, speaking for the budget office, reported July privilege-tax collections of roughly $2.08 million and education impact-fee collections of approximately $1.995 million in June and about $2.08 million in July, leaving an available education impact-fee balance of about $96,900,000.
