The commission voted unanimously to accept a settlement proposal in the litigation involving Michelle Torres and Doug Collins, authorizing a total county expenditure of $978,749.38 to be paid in two equal installments over a period not to exceed one year. The motion noted a $15,000 credit already tendered by the county's insurer (TNRMT) and authorized the mayor and county attorney to execute documents to resolve and dismiss the pending appeal.
