The Decatur City Council voted Sept. 28 to adopt Ordinance 2026‑09‑29, replacing the city's schedule of fees with 22 updates spanning administrative charges, development review, cemetery fees and utility rates. The ordinance, approved in a motion by Melinda and seconded by Will, will take effect Oct. 1 to align with fiscal year 2027.
