The Wayne County Commission's fiscal staff told the Committee on Ways and Means that the commission requested roughly $15,700,000 for its office in fiscal year 2026-27 while the county executive's recommendation stood near $14.7 million, creating about a $1.7 million gap that staff said should be addressed with technical amendments.
