The Board approved a veteran vehicle exemption request for a disabled veteran who purchased and licensed a vehicle earlier in the year but failed to claim the new exemption at registration; assessor staff calculated the tax loss available for adjustment at approximately $318. Heather, who handled the file, said the state will allow a retroactive correction once the paperwork and supporting minutes are provided, and the board voted to approve the correction and reimbursement.
