Mark Verichheld, executive director, reviewed legislation the commission is monitoring and supporting. He said House Bill 1098 (the youth, family and caregiver engagement initiative) remains active with an appropriations hearing scheduled and an amendment added to solicit direct feedback from youth and families. He also noted Senate Bill 482 on chronic absenteeism passed education committee that morning.
