The Brookings County Commission adopted its provisional 2027 budget during a public hearing Sept. 1, approving a balanced set of fund budgets and a marginal levy reduction. The county’s presenter said the package uses no reserves and that the levy would fall from 3.921 in 2026 to 3.915 for 2027.
