Board debates permanent amphitheater at Veterans Park amid noise concerns

Board members debated whether to invest in a permanent stage or amphitheater at Veterans Park. One member (S5) pointed to recent noise-ordinance changes in a neighboring city and questioned spending on a permanent structure in a residential area; staff (Jason/S3) said the city typically uses a rented stage funded through EDC or other event funds and that a permanent structure would require master planning and likely be among the most expensive projects on the list.
