Georgetown adopts $1.6 billion FY 2027 budget
Council adopted the fiscal year 2027 operating budget totaling $1,600,000,000 in a recorded vote. The adoption was coupled with separate roll-call votes to levy the property tax rate.

The Georgetown City Council adopted the fiscal year 2027 operating budget after the second reading. Randy Cormac, the city's budget manager, told council the total budget is $1,600,000,000 and read the ordinance caption adopting the annual budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2026.
