Angleton parks report: Bates Field 6 near complete; Freedom Park and Abigail Arias projects progressing

Parks staff provided a multi‑project update to council April 14. Bates Park Field 6 is approximately 95% complete with irrigation and turf installed; staff will lock the field temporarily to allow grass to establish. Freedom Park's playground was removed and contractor work is scheduled (about a four‑week install window), and the Freedom Park field expansion is in early dirt‑moving and drainage work with a 90‑day construction schedule.
