Angleton council adopts 2024 building codes, sets Oct. 1 effective date
After a continued public hearing and staff briefings, the Angleton City Council voted to adopt the 2024 International Building Code suite (and the 2023 NEC) with targeted local amendments and an effective date of Oct. 1, 2026. Staff will publish comparison charts and increase public outreach on permit impacts.
