External auditors reported an unmodified opinion on Hidalgo County's financial statements for the year ended Dec. 31, 2025, meaning the auditors believe the statements are fairly presented in all material respects. The audit team also said the county prepared an annual comprehensive financial report and that the audit did not identify any material weaknesses in the financial statements.
