World Affairs Council asks Addison to renew partnership for speaker series and events
The World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth requested $25,000 to renew a partnership that would bring global speakers and programming to Addison, including events aimed at economic development, student engagement and employee access to council programs.

Trresa Coburn, vice president of development and strategic initiatives for the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, asked the committee to renew a partnership built on prior programming in Addison. Coburn said the council would provide 2–3 programs in town and offer 50 complimentary passes for Addison employees and residents. "We're seeking $25,000 and that's to bring world class speakers to Addison's front door," she said.
