The Brazoria County Commissioners Court read and approved a proclamation honoring the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee’s 40th anniversary of organizing community events in southern Brazoria County. The proclamation, read by the presiding official, noted the committee’s longstanding programs including a music celebration, community worship, a commemorative banquet, a parade and scholarship awards.
