Committee members discussed the potential use of a projected surplus to improve vision benefits. President Tom Salzer asked whether a rate change should be considered; Stacie Fernandez, the parish treasurer, was asked to calculate current vision enrollees to determine whether group changes would benefit employees. Lisa Wilson, Human Resources Manager, told the committee vision benefits are currently paid 100 percent by employees with no employer contribution.
