City Administrator Matt Wolf presented a proposed amendment to City Code 470‑3 concerning residential sewer connection fees. Wolf said the ordinance does not currently allow waiving connection fees and that the issue arose in the Walnut Circle subdivision, where nine lots may require grinder pumps because of elevation. Wolf cited estimated grinder‑pump installation costs of $5,000 to $10,000 per property and noted the current 5/8" residential sewer connection fee is $2,156.
