Codes administrator flags long-running unsafe structure and enforcement limits; monthly caseload updated

Codes Administrator Arthur Kelly told council that for July his office opened 116 cases and notices of violation, closed 74, and had 42 remaining open; seven zoning permits were issued and one inspection was conducted. He said property-maintenance enforcement—high grass, overgrown vegetation, trash and general maintenance issues—remained the department's highest priority.
