Ivanhoe road projects delayed as contractor seeks rework; sub‑grade problems noted

Mayor Skip Blackstone updated the council on several road projects, saying Notice to Proceed was issued Jan. 6, 2025 for Lakewood Drive and equipment mobilization has begun, but Texas Materials has requested to address rework areas before starting Ivanhoe Drive and Millcreek. Work on Ivanhoe Drive had been set to begin Dec. 9, 2025 but has been delayed because Millcreek is not yet ready for a detour and because Texas Materials wants to complete rework.
