Kansas Workforce 1 asks Linn County to join regional workforce board; no county fee

Deb Scheibler, executive director of Kansas Workforce 1, told commissioners that Workforce 1 now covers 98 of Kansas' 105 counties after recent mergers and that the agreement before the county would allow Linn County to appoint a representative to the Chief Elected Official Board that oversees federal Department of Labor funds for the region. Scheibler emphasized there is no fee required from the county and offered to return to answer questions or provide a Teams call.
