County Appraiser Lisa Kelstead told commissioners she had offered a vacant Appraiser 3 position to Janet Harper, who accepted, and asked for the board's approval of the hire at Level 10C ($20.96/hour). Kelstead said Harper brings extensive appraisal experience and "will be on the ground running the very first day," and the board approved the hire by voice vote. Kelstead confirmed the hire was effective immediately pending routine onboarding steps.
