Nemaha County commissioners on Sept. 23 reviewed fuel bids for October 2026 and accepted the bid from Sapp Brothers. The minutes record the offered prices and the board action: Sapp Brothers quoted #1 clear diesel $6.009, #2 clear diesel $5.709 and regular with ethanol $4.029; the board voted to accept that bid (motion by Hall, second by Weiss; roll call Mellage aye, Weiss aye, Hall aye).
