Board members heard a presentation about the district’s structured‑adventure visits to the Gables, an intergenerational program that pairs students with residents for crafts, interviews and shared activities. Program leaders traced the effort back to 2019 and said the schedule now has each grade visiting twice a month so residents can put names to faces and build familiarity.
