The council’s attorney informed members he had accepted a full‑time position with the prosecutor’s office effective Jan. 1 and offered to remain through the transition. Members discussed possible successor candidates for town legal counsel, including Rick Martin (a long‑time Clinton County attorney) and Alicia Albertson (city attorney for Frankfurt), and said staff would pursue contacts and, if necessary, interim coverage to maintain legal support for council business.
