The Town of Springfield Selectboard voted unanimously Sept. 14 to allow new owners of two recently transferred properties to enter a new payment plan for delinquent taxes and utilities as a one-time exception. Town Manager Scott Pickup recommended the approach, saying it would help keep properties viable and avoid immediate shutoffs or tax sale if owners cannot pay full arrears at once.
