Lane County seeks records from Sanipac; elections office outlines fall timeline
Elections staff reviewed critical dates for the Nov. 3 general election and county administration reported it has hired Baker Tilly to audit waste diversion and is seeking records from Sanipac and EcoSort for 01/01/2023–05/01/2026; county awaits responses from Waste Connections.

Elections staff briefed the board: military and overseas ballots were mailed Sept. 18, ballots to non‑Oregon addresses go out the week of Oct. 5, and mail ballots should hit mailboxes Oct. 16–22. The registration deadline is Oct. 13 and all 25 existing drop boxes will be opened Oct. 15; the county is working to add 3–4 additional drop boxes pending state emergency funds.
