Board approves pool setback variance on South Tropical Trail

Brevard Construction Company requested a variance to place a pool within the 25-foot setback from the Indian River (measured from the ordinary high-water line) on a double-frontage property at 3115 South Tropical Trail. David Hicks (speaker 17) said the company sought relief to allow the pool inside the standard setback; staff clarified the county measures setbacks from the ordinary high-water line and explained the applicant’s resulting request measured at about 10 feet from the water's edge.
