Local pastor urges county help to find site for Spanish-speaking congregation
A pastor from Viera told commissioners his fully Spanish-speaking church will lose its lease in two months and asked the commission to help identify institutional land or zoning options to keep the congregation intact.

During the public-appearances portion of the meeting, Pastor Enrique Pacheco (speaker 37) said his Spanish-speaking congregation in Viera faces imminent displacement when the lease for their meeting space will not be renewed in two months. He urged county leadership to help the congregation find institutional land or zoning flexibility in District 4 so the church can remain in the community.
