Committee hears final plans for July 4 celebration, including parade, vendors and fireworks

Parks staff told the advisory committee that planning for the July 4 celebration is progressing "smoothly," with Police and Fire approval of the parade route, parking and vendor layout. Staff said bicycle participation will be permitted and that parade participants may distribute candy and trinkets, with chocolate discouraged because of the heat.
