A county Community Development official opened the first of two required public hearings on the 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) entitlement programs and walked the board and public through deadlines, eligibility and past spending patterns. The presenter said the 2027 application cycle will begin 08/31/2026 and that applications must be submitted through the county's online Neighborly portal. Staff advised applicants that HUD's final 2027 allocations had not yet been announced and that 2026 figures (CDBG: $1,351,002; HOME: $756,343.32) were provided for planning only.
