Committee notes tightened application language requiring water-use estimates for data-center permits

A committee member said recent amendments to the application language for data-center projects added more specific water-use reporting requirements. "It just said an estimate of the expected water use ... maximum day, maximum month and average year," the member said, and noted the bill inserted "the language of good faith estimate" to clarify applicant obligations.
