The Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District Board of Education voted 7–0 on Jan. 17 to select three finalists for the superintendent position and to invite them to on-site forums and interviews in Ketchikan on Feb. 10–11, 2026. A board member moved the selection in open session after the board concluded a confidential executive-session review of candidates.
