Commission approves about $5,000 to replace failed lake grinder pump
Commissioners voted to repair a failed grinder pump at the county lake and approved spending the estimated $5,000 from capital improvements to restore the county's two-pump redundancy.

Commissioners discussed recent lightning and storms that coincided with failures of two grinder pumps at the county lake. Committee member who oversees lake maintenance reported both pumps went down, one pump had been cleared and one remained out of service, and asked whether the commission wanted to replace the second pump this year.
