Board requires certified well testing before discharge permits released
The Halifax Board of Health required that discharge permits not be released until water testing samples from a certified well-testing company are submitted and approved by the board agent; permits 1–8 remain conditional.

The Chair told meeting attendees that discharge permits would not be released until the Board of Health received water testing samples from a certified well-testing company and the agent approved the results. The condition applies to permits 1 through 8 as listed on the agenda and was confirmed by the Chair as part of permit approvals.
