Following a vendor assessment that the existing system is no longer serviced, the committee approved Option B — an addressable fire-alarm system — for City Hall and the Library, citing the advantage of pinpointing alarm locations for responders.

City Administrator Matt Wolf reported that a Pye Barker technician advised the city the current fire alarm model at City Hall and the Library is "no longer available, updated, or serviced." Staff presented two replacement options: a non-addressable system (Option A) and a higher-cost addressable system (Option B) that provides location information to assisting agencies.
