Commission hears community-facilities and revitalization updates as plan moves toward public draft
Planning staff presented community facilities and revitalization chapters of the comprehensive-plan update, aligning current needs to the county CIP and consolidating revitalization goals. Staff said a draft will be released in July with public engagement through fall and a Board hearing expected in December.

Planning staff told the Chesterfield County Planning Commission on June 16 that the comprehensive-plan modernization will align the community facilities chapter with the county’s five-year capital improvement program, removing longer-range mapped items not currently in the CIP and listing them as future needs.
