The board heard from two candidates for an open seat on the Rio Grande Water Conservation District board on April 9. Judy Jolly and Sheldon Rockey each described their backgrounds and reasons for seeking the position; Haydn Christensen withdrew his letter of interest saying the other candidates were good choices. Citizen Rio de la Vista, speaking during public comment, corrected the agenda item name and said she "would recommend Judy Jolly to sit on the board."
