Staff reported on WIC program activity and the recent six-month closeout meeting with the state. They discussed outreach to newer markets to accept WIC and SNAP benefits and noted challenges with Amish vendors who may not participate in electronic benefit systems. Staff also noted that WIC implemented changes to its food packages effective Sept. 29 to improve access to nutritious foods.
