Board approves forestry MOA shifting loan repayment while county finalizes land purchase

Supervisors approved a memorandum of agreement with the Wisconsin DNR that would raise the forestry program's loan repayment share from 20% to 40% while the county clears title and reduces a $900,000 loan to $100,000. The staff presenter said the new parcel was appraised at $8,000 per acre and the purchase would add roughly $320,000 to the project.
