The board approved a resolution to change the highway department's administrative assistant from a shared/part‑time arrangement to a full‑time (37.5 hours/week) position for the remainder of the year. The highway presenter said the role historically had been full time, was shared when budgets tightened, and that available budgeted funds (four months of an engineer’s wage not being used earlier in the year) can cover the remainder of 2026 with no change to the county's levy.
