Dozens of residents and technical experts urged the Nueces County Commissioners Court on July 15 to demand clearer information and safeguards before the Hut 8 data center moves from construction toward operation. Sean Flanagan of Precinct 3 told the court the community is "not for or against it" but wants accurate information on traffic, drainage and long-term impacts so the county can "be proactive" about mitigation.
