Committee approves separating city sanitary WPDES permit after MPU transfer

City staff told the committee that because the wastewater plant was transferred to Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU), it is standard practice for cities of this size to hold separate WPDES permits for sanitary discharges and for stormwater.
