Commission approves modification extending mine use permit to 2031

Planning staff recommended that the commission adopt a Class 1 categorical exemption under the California Environmental Quality Act and conditionally approve a modification extending Use Permit UP9515’s expiration date to Nov. 12, 2031. Staff reminded the commission that the original conditional use permit dated to 1996 and that earlier mitigation and monitoring plans remain applicable.
