At the meeting the Select Board received a briefing on LifeFlight's Pre‑Designated Landing Area (PELA) procedure. The presenter explained that PELA is a record LifeFlight keeps with quadrant entries so crews can locate a landing area without additional local direction; "All that is needed is a physical location and they already have the quadrants," the presenter said.
