Jody Sharp, director of economic development, told the Board of Commissioners that the April 25 countywide Keep Meriwether Beautiful cleanup brought "over 170 volunteers" and removed "over 300 bags of trash," calling the effort successful but insufficient to address ongoing illegal dumping.
