Hoard Museum outlines archives, attendance and 2027 maintenance plan

Marilee Lee described the Hoard Museum’s role as the community archives and highlighted both historic holdings and recent programming. She said the archives include roughly 20,000 items, recounted a notable 1891 city receipts-and-disbursements record with modern-dollar conversions, and described volunteer support that she estimated provides the equivalent of 2.5 to 3 full-time staff positions. Attendance has not fully rebounded from the pandemic (14,702 in 2025 vs. 15,002 in 2024), she said, and museum leaders are pursuing programming and partnerships to rebuild visitation.
