On Sept. 3, 2025, the Pacific Elementary School Board of Trustees voted to approve a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SJSU to host student teachers in district classrooms. The motion was made by Board President Gwyan Rhabyt and seconded by Vice President Cari Napoles; the minutes record the measure as "Approved unanimously."
