Pomfret Selectboard approves emergency engineering contract, waives competitive-quote rule
The Selectboard unanimously approved a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Harrington Civil Engineers and amended the motion to waive the town's Purchasing Policy requiring two competitive written quotes because of the ongoing emergency. Harrington's scope includes conceptual design, full contract plans, and construction engineering.

The Pomfret Selectboard voted unanimously May 13 to approve a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Harrington Civil Engineers to design and oversee repairs to the embankment above Caper Street. The agreement sets a four-stage scope: immediate conceptual design and drainage remediation to enable contractor pricing for VTrans emergency aid, field data collection and concept design, preparation of full contract plans, and construction engineering during work.
