Draft sets enforceable noise, lighting and setback limits, plus Good Neighbor agreement options
Aug 24, 2026
The drafts set decibel caps (60 dBA at property line; 55/50 dBA at sensitive receptors), lighting limits (0.1 footcandles at project boundary, LED fixtures ≤3,000 K), 200-foot setbacks from roads/nonparticipating properties, dual perimeter fencing, and Good Neighbor Agreement options to alter sound limits with consent.
The full story
The county draft imposes measurable limits to reduce impacts on nearby residents and sensitive receptors. Noise rules require a site-specific sound model, mitigation measures where needed, and a maximum of 60 dBA at the project property line and 55 dBA daytime / 50 dBA nighttime at sensitive receptors. Monthly post-occupancy sound testing at the project boundary is required and multiple noncompliance instances or citizen complaints can trigger additional modeling and mandatory mitigation.
